Highborn by Yvonne Navarro

What if a fallen angel decided she had had enough of being in hell and wished she had never rebelled against God?  That's the basis of this book by Navarro.  Brynna escapes hell and comes to Earth to try to redeem herself by helping the good by protecting them from the demons of hell itself.  Along the way she teams up with a Chicago Detective who can't believe what she is telling him.  I can't wait for the 2nd book to come out.  I really like the discussion between the Father Murphy and Detective Redmond on whether faith covers believing that the forces of Heaven and Hell could actually be on earth interacting with humanity.
